CTB returns to Camilo Castelo Branco with "Amor de Perdição," a performance-lesson, specifically aimed at the school circuit, one of the Company's creative vectors. This performance incorporates, in its conception, the exposition of mechanisms of theatrical practice (reading, literary analysis, dramaturgical analysis, character construction, and scene creation), thus contributing to the study of the literary text, to the enjoyment of reading, and to the understanding of theatrical practice, in an active questioning of the parameters and goals for the "Literary Education" of the Portuguese curriculum for Secondary Education, which proposes a very limited reading of the work (Introduction, Conclusion, and two more chapters of XX). Teachers and students, as well as the general public, will be able to witness in this theatrical rehearsal of Camilo's novel a dismantling of questions about the development of the action, the construction of the plot, the characters' journeys, the narrative strategies of the acts performed, the direct and ironic criticism of society, the multiplicity of language, the commitment of the author-narrator, and the role of the reader/spectator.
