On a weekend trip to the countryside, Laura miraculously survives a car accident. Physically unharmed but deeply shaken, she is taken in by a local woman who witnessed the crash and now cares for her with maternal devotion. When the woman’s husband and adult son also set aside their initial resistance to her presence, the four of them gradually begin to build a routine that resembles that of a family.
