International Jazz Day
“Jazz Meets Sebastião Leiria” pays tribute to the legacy of the distinguished composer from Tavira, Sebastião Leiria, through original jazz arrangements and interpretations of his works. This project celebrates local artistic memory by connecting its musical heritage with a contemporary sound of strong public appeal.
The project brings together a quintet of renowned musicians from the national jazz scene, ensuring artistic excellence in performance:
Desidério Lázaro – Saxophone (Artistic Direction and Arrangements)
Margarida Campelo – Vocals
João Paulo Esteves da Silva – Piano
André Rosinha – Double Bass
Bruno Pedroso – Drums

❗Entry is not permitted after the start of the performances, and no refunds will be given for tickets, in accordance with current legislation (Decree-Law No. 23/2014 of February 14, amended by paragraph 5 of article 10 of Decree-Law No. 90/2019, of July 5).
❗Children under 3 years of age are not allowed entry, as stipulated in Decree-Law 23/2014 of February 14, in its current wording (article 26).
