In 2009, a man and two accomplices attempt to drive members of the Chuschagasta Indigenous community off their land in Argentina. Claiming ownership of the territory, they قتل the community’s leader. The murder is filmed. It takes nine years of protests before legal proceedings finally begin, in 2018. Throughout that time, the perpetrators remain free. The film brings together the voices and photographs of the community with courtroom footage to explore the history of colonialism and land dispossession that led to this crime. This is the first feature film in eight years by one of the most distinctive filmmakers of our time.
