In a peripheral neighborhood, where rural and urban worlds meet, the homes of the first migrants who arrived after the war coexist with the new blocks of the commuter town, where the most recent wave of migration is concentrated. This humble corner is now a veritable global village. Stories from Vale Bom is a sum of constructions, social, generational and identity conflicts, urban and ecological issues, but also a serene and humanist look at the current world. José Luis Guerin films a human microcosm with infinite tenderness.
